Cottage food disclosure
This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
EG Bakes operates as a cottage food production operation under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 437. All orders are for direct sale to the consumer and are picked up in person in Houston, Texas. We do not ship.
Allergen information
Our cookies and cake pops are made in a home kitchen that also handles wheat, eggs, milk, soy, tree nuts, and peanuts. We cannot guarantee that any item is free from cross-contact with these allergens.
If you have a food allergy, please tell us before ordering. A full ingredient list for any item is available on request.
Ordering and quotes
- Submitting the form is an inquiry, not a confirmed order.
- We reply with a custom quote, typically within 48 hours.
- Your date is reserved only once the quote is accepted and paid in full.
Payment
Payment is due in full at the time you book. We do not take deposits or partial payments. Your order is not confirmed and your date is not held until payment is received.
Payment instructions and accepted payment methods are included with your quote. Prices are quoted per order, and applicable Texas sales tax is added where required.
Minimums and lead times
- Custom cookies: minimum 1 dozen regular size, 2 dozen mini size, or 1 dozen cake pops.
- When ordering both regular and mini cookies, the combined total must exceed 1 dozen.
- Cookie pickups must be booked at least 11 days in advance.
- Private classes must be booked at least 14 days in advance and are held on weekends.
- Private classes are $50 per person with a 6 person minimum.
Cancellations and changes
All payments are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, the amount you paid stays on file as a credit and can be applied to a future order.
To use your credit, contact us and we will apply it to your next order at the price in effect at that time.
Pickup and storage
- All orders are pickup only, at the address and time confirmed in your quote.
- Each cookie is individually heat-sealed and stays fresh for roughly three weeks, longer if frozen.
- Once an order leaves our hands, we are not responsible for damage, melting, or spoilage.
Missed pickups
Every order has a scheduled pickup time. If you do not show up for it, you have one week from that scheduled time to contact us and arrange a new pickup. Orders not collected within that week are forfeited, and no refund or credit is issued.
Because these are perishable baked goods, we cannot guarantee the condition or freshness of an order held past its original pickup time.
Creative freedom
We ask for creative freedom on every order while incorporating your stated colors, theme, and requests. Exact matching of a reference photo is not guaranteed.
Photos and content
We may photograph completed orders and share them on our website and social media. Tell us if you would prefer we do not. Images you upload remain yours; by uploading them you confirm you have the right to share them with us for design reference.
